Zak Razvi
Zak is a self-confessed advertising geek.
His career started as a runner at BBH London, where he would sit and watch directors reels over and over again, educating himself on the importance of craft and storytelling from the world's best commercial filmmakers.
During his time at BBH, he moved from runner to production assistant to TV producer working across brands such as Levi’s, Google, Audi and Barclaycard.
He then moved from agency side to production company side, taking up the role of head of Music Videos / executive producer. Here he was responsible for music videos for artists including Mary J. Blige, J. Cole, The Weeknd, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and many more.
Having worked so closely with directors and crew, this naturally led him to directing his own projects.
His first short film, JORDANNE, was screened at over 20 international film festivals, winning Best Short Documentary at the London Independent Film Festival, the British Documentary Film Festival and the Kinsale Shark Awards.
His commercials work has won gold for Best New Director at numerous award shows, including the shots Awards, Creative Circle and the Emerging Director Awards. His films for the Road Safety Authority have won Best Commercial at the ICAD Awards and Best Commercial at the Young Director Awards.
He has been on the judging panel for the D&AD, Kinsale & UK Music Videos Awards.
